Hillhead Caravan Park is a fantastic touring base, as the famed Castle Trail is right on your doorstep - leading you to fairytale castles like Craigievar and great historic houses like Haddo, where Prince Edward often performs in the hall. The only Malt Whisky Trail in the world takes you into the Grampian Highlands with its beautiful rugged scenery. Royal Deeside and the Queen's Scottish residence of Balmoral are but a short drive away. The rivers Don and Dee provide excellent fishing opportunities. If golf is your thing then choose from 25 beautiful courses all within half an hour's drive, and three virtually on your doorstep. The coastline offers glistening beaches, spectacular cliff-top views and quaint fishing villages such as Pennan as seen in Local Hero. Our own local market town of Inverurie is an ideal shopping centre, with friendly people and plenty of parking.
