Description of site. This peaceful, well maintained Adult Only site looks across fields towards the village which is a five minute walk. The site is peaceful and maintained to a high standard. Facilities include regularly cut grass (cuttings collected), an information centre, night lights, picnic benches and a pay phone. Pretty villages, good walking and cycling area. Near to picturesque Stamford and the city of Peterborough. Voted third prize in 'CL of the Year Awards' 2002 and Regional Winner for Middle England and East Anglia Region for 1998, 1999 and 2000. Directions to site: Please follow the directions below and DO NOT USE SAT-NAV systems to avoid narrow village roads. From Stamford A16 at 'Welland Gate roundabout' take first exit onto dual carriageway, in 1 mile at roundabout take second exit onto the A16 (Boston/Spalding). In 2.5 miles turn right onto the B1525 (signposted Deeping St. James). In 1.5 a miles at Frognall (immediately after village sign) turn left (signposted B1166 Crowland) into Hards Lane. In 600 yards continue right into Custom Road. In half a mile at crossroads turn right onto the B1166 (signposted Deeping St. James). In half a mile turn right into Back Lane. Site in 350 yards on the right hand side. |
