Description of site. Set in the heart of the Welsh countryside, Gamffrwd is ideally located for those seeking peace & quiet. Only 100 yards from a 5 acre spring water fed lake, which has been superbly designed and landscaped for the fly fisherman. Fishing available all year round. The camping area offers a C.L site for touring caravans. It is situated in a flat, well-sheltered paddock, with easy access. Electric available. We also offer accommodation at 2 luxury Log Cabins which overlook the Lake and, new in 2002, Cerrig Cottage - only 200 yards away. (Sleeps up to 5 persons). Rallies Welcome. |

Directions to site: Leave M4 at Junction 49. Continue for 4 miles to roundabout at Crosshands. Continue on dual carriageway for further 3.8 miles. Take slip road to National Botanic Gardens. Turn right at T-junction. Continue for 1 mile, turn left at T-junction. Continue for further 1.7 miles; turn right into village of Drefach (after Texaco Garage). 200 yds further take second turning on right. 100 yds further turn right at T-junction. 1.3 miles further take 2nd turning on right. Continue for 0.5 miles, sign posted "Gamffrwd Trout Fishery". Entrance for Caravan Park approx. 75 yds further on. |
