Description of site. Dent is Natural England’s magical wonder Resting in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, High Laning offers peace and tranquillity, and a warm welcome awaits you from Jim, Margaret and family. The park is level with some hard standing, hook-ups and clean comprehensive facilities; our farm shop is well stocked. Dent’s picturesque, cobbled village hosts its own beers and amenities. It has historical attractions and further information and displays can be found in Dent Village Heritage Centre, here you will also find full details of Flintergill Outrake Nature Trail leading to surrounding magnificent hills and valleys, it is ideal for fell walking including the Three Peaks and we’re on the Dales way which is a lowland walk by the River Dee. The spectacular Settle to Carlisle railway line passes through Dent Station, the highest in England at 1100ft. There is easy access to the Lake District and Coast. We can designate areas for rallies, camping groups /BBQ celebrations and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award groups are welcome. We have North Country Bungalow to let that’s a lovely standard and homely. Directions to site: If using the motorway M6, leave at junction 37 signposted Sedbergh (A684). Dent is then a further 5 miles from Sedbergh. If using the A1, exit at Leeming Bar and take the A684 signposted Leyburn, Bainbridge and Hawes. Dent is a further 15 miles from Hawes. |
