Description of site. This well maintained site is set near to the Solway Coast, which is home to many rare sea birds. The site has views of Criffel to the north and Skiddaw to the south and is conveniently situated for Hadrian's Wall, North Lakeland, south west Scotland, Maryport and coastal walks. The nearby 'White Heather Hotel', famous for its Sunday lunches, also houses the Microlite Club and hosts various fayres and exhibitions. Silloth's Massive Sunday Market/Car Boot Sale is a great day out. There are many local signed cycle routes and organised woodland walks with night skies offering good stargazing opportunities. |

Directions to site: From Head west out of Carlisle on the B5307 to the village of Kirkbridge. Pass the Education Centre and continue for half a mile. Turn right towards Newton Arlosh/White Heather Hotel for half a mile. Lowther Farm Caravan Camping Site is on the left. |
