Description of site. Quiet site of approximately 1 acre, level grass mown with lawn tractor with grass collection. Black Combe in the background. Good sandy beach 200 yards, RSPB Sanctuary 250 yards. Shops, Pubs, Post Office 150 yards. 16 amp electric hookups, 14ft entrance gate with access road recently tarmaced. Millom 1.5 miles with petrol station, railway station, buses, shops, banks, chemists, supermarkets, and nightclubs. There is a RAF museum in Haverigg. Open all year for Caravan Club members only. There is sea fishing, golf and horse riding in Silecroft 3 miles. Coniston, Wastwater and Ulverston 17 miles. Kendal 40 miles. The beach is safe and flies a yellow flag. |

Directions to site: From the M6 junction 36 take the A590 to Greenodd and turn right onto the A5092 to Workington. This road takes you into Grizebeck joining onto the A595 to Millom. When you get into Millom, pass the railway station and the police station then turn right at the Esso petrol station signposted Haverigg. Follow the signs to Haverigg until you are in a traffic calming area after going over two yellow rumble strips in the road. Our site is on the right behind the first row of terraced houses. There is a Caravan Club sign outside our house. |
