Description of site. A stunning backdrop for camping with Dove Crag, Hart Crag and Fairfield to watch over you and tranquil Brotherswater adjacent, there can be few more inspiring locations to pitch than Sykeside Camping Park. This is camping right at the very heart of one of Lakeland's most beautiful and central valleys. Stunning views and all modern facilities on the site. Relax in the refurbished Barn End Bar where you can enjoy home cooked food and a few drinks in the evening. As well as Barn End, Sykeside benefits from the convivial atmosphere of our own Brotherswater Inn, just a few hundred yards from the camping park. Accommodation is available in the Inn with 8 en-suite bedrooms each with colour TV and tea and coffee facilities. Also available is bunkhouse accommodation sleeping 2 to 6 persons per room. Breakfast is available at the Inn and also snacks and bar meals during the day and evening meals. We also have a holiday cottage that sleeps up to 5 people available for weekly let and a small CL for touring caravans. |

Directions to site: From the south - M6 junction 36 follow the A591 Kendal By-pass towards Windermere. At Windermere, The A592 heads up to the top of Kirkstone Pass and down in the direction of Ullswater. Sykeside is found shortly after the top of Kirkstone by turning left at the Brotherswater Inn. From the north - M6 junction 40 and take the A66 towards Keswick. After a quarter of a mile take the A592 to Ullswater in the direction of Windermere and Kirkstone Pass. Sykeside is then about three miles beyond the village of Patterdale. Simply turn right at the Brotherwater Inn. |
