Description of site.

Hillside Campsite is peacefully situated within the 150,000 acres of Ringwood Forest, yet is centrally situated for exploring the beautiful South Coast and Salisbury, Wimborne, Shaftesbury, Lyndhurst etc, all within a half hour drive away. Access to the Forest’s 30 miles of tracks are directly out of our gates (without any roadwork), So are ideal for walkers, runners, cyclists, dog owners. The abundant wild life, diverse variety of fauna and birds make great backdrops forpPhotography and painting. Although our guests can “JUST CHILL OUT” with the BBQ after a hard day on the beaches close by. Verwood Town is just a 15 minute gentle stroll away, for the shops, restaurants and pubs.

Onsite Facilities - 5 – 8 touring Caravans / Motorhomes. 20 Tents ( giant sized tents accommodated) / Trailer tents / Folding Campers. 15 hookups. (Well drained, clean short grass pitches.) Modern/private/clean toilets, Commodious hot showers, fully disabled toilet/Shower/wash wet room. Dish washing facilities (under cover) All with FREE HOT WATER. Take away food delivered to guest’s pitches. 20% OFF vouchers for the Swans Inn, 10%OFF vouchers for the yummy local butchers, Free range eggs from our rescued hens and ducks. Badminton. Gas. Vast amount of safe space for families recreation/sunbathing/ ball games, etc. No noise/games rule, before 9am or after 9pm for all guests comfort. Dogs on leads pleasantly walked off site only.

Offsite Facilities - Food Shop 1m, Bar/Pub 1m, Restaurant 1m, Takeaway Food 1m, Laundrette 4m, Indoor Heated Pool 4m, Outdoor Heated Pool 4m, Tennis Courts 1.5m, Plentiful Fishing 1m, Golf Course 1m, Horse Riding 2m, Water Sports 4m, Sandy Beaches 20-30 minutes away by car. Horse riding. Dry Ski-ing, Off roading, Sailing, Paint balling. Various Markets all reasonably close by.

SAT NAV: South Junction of BATTERLEY DROVE with EDMONDSHAM ROAD…. BH21 5QY, turn EAST up gravel track (signposted) to Hillside and the Forest.

From the A31 at Ringwood, 200 yards past Church and Petrol Station, turn left onto B3081 signposted VERWOOD. After approximately 4 miles at Roundabout by Fire station in Verwood, turn right, follow signs to Heavy Horse Center. After around 1.5 miles, and after the Heavy Horse Centre at sharp left hand bend, continue up gravel track signposted Hillside Campsite. If lost – telephone 01202 824460 and we will find you.
