Description of site. Rowlands Wait is a quiet secluded privately run park situated in 8.5 acres of outstanding natural beauty. Secluded but not isolated, it overlooks the beautiful Purbeck Hills and the picturesque village of Bere Regis in the heart of Thomas Hardy Country. It is conveniently situated mid-way between the county town of Dorchester and historic port of Poole with Europe's largest harbour. The park is family-managed and carefully maintained and has direct access to woods and heathland offering walkers and cyclists varied routes and, for wildlife enthusiasts, opportunities to see many rare birds and animals. Directions to site: From London - Take the M3, then the M27 to Ringwood, then follow the A31 past Ferndown and Wimborne Minster and head towards Dorchester. As you approach Bere Regis, you will come to a Service Station on a roundabout. Turn left here up to the next roundabout. Turn right towards the village and follow the road around to the left, in front of the Royal Oak Pub. Go up the hill and the entrance to Rowlands Wait Touring Park is at the top of the hill on the right. From Dorchester - Come along the A35 as you approach Bere Regis, you will come to a Service Station on a roundabout. Go straight over as if you are heading for POOLE and go to the next roundabout. Turn right towards the village and follow the road around to the left, in front of the Royal Oak Pub. Go up the hill and the entrance to Rowlands Wait Touring Park is at the top of the hill on the right. From Poole - Come along the A35 as you approach Bere Regis, you will come to a roundabout.
