Description of site. Finchale Abbey (pronounced 'Finkle') is an historic site situated in a meander of the river Wear, close to the famous city of Durham, the 'jewel of the north east'. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the caravan park overlooks the ruins of the 13 century Finchale Priory, which is managed and maintained by English Heritage. The site offers a wide range of facilities and our priority is to make certain that you enjoy your stay. Dogs are welcome (on leads) with patrons who have their own caravan. Rallies Welcome. Residential Park Homes available to buy on the park. |
