Description of site. Catherine, Guylain, Chrystelle, Christophe and their team will be delighted to welcome you to "Les Prairies du Lac". 50 minutes from the airport of Nantes by road, one and a half hours from the airport of La Rochelle, a comfortable 3 hour drive from the port of St Malo, this 3 star campsite with 200 pitches on 6 hectares is situated in a beautiful and tranquil rural setting just 2 kilometres from the medieval village of Apremont with its shops, restaurants and imposing 16th century chateau. The campsite is 2 kilometres from a picturesque lake with its own sandy beach where it is possible to bathe, fish or take to the water in a rented boat or canoe. The coastal resort of St Gilles Croix de Vie with its wonderful sandy beaches is approximately 18 kilometres to the west, less than half an hour by car. IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW MOBILE HOME, whatever make and model it may be, we are confident that we could quote you a very competitive and attractive price. There is also the choice of second-hand models available on site. We are also happy to accept a mobile home which you already own, provided it has been well-maintained and is of good appearance. The campsite, with its international friendly atmosphere is OPEN ALL THE YEAR for mobile homes owners and their guests, who are able to visit whenever they wish and stay for as long as they wish (currently there are 86 mobile homes belonging to British families) and for those wishing to rent mobile homes (all very recent with their own wooden terrace). In the high season (this year 26th June until 31st Aug) we are also open to tourists with tents, caravans, or motorhomes. THE MAIN LANGUAGE SPOKEN ON THE SITE IS ENGLISH. |

Site Details: 85220, Apremont, Vendée Onsite Facilities - During the high season, the cafeteria/bar is open every day for snacks, ice-creams, bread, refreshments etc... and there are organised games and entertainment all conducted in the English language. The site includes 2 swimming pools and 1 paddling pool all heated, table-tennis, a boules ground, a children's playground. The 2 washing-machines and the dryer are available all the year.Offsite Facilities - 2 kms away - the lake with its sandy beach, the castle of Apremont, 2 restaurants-crêperie-pizzeria, a tennis court, a beautiful minigolf, shops, fishing, canoe. Nearby - pathways for walkers and cyclists. 7 kms away - an 18 hole golf course, horse riding. 18kms away - the sea, the sand beach, St Gilles Croix de Vie. |

Directions to site: Approaching Nantes, head south on the peripherique towards Bordeaux until you see La Roche Sur Yon signposted. In La Roche sur Yon, take the road to Noirmoutier-Aizenay. In Aizenay take directions for Noirmoutier -Challans (D948). About 5 kilometres from Aizenay, turn left towards Maché-Apremont. Go through Maché, following the direction Apremont (D40). 2 kilometres further on, you will find the campsite on your right-hand side. "Bon Voyage". |
