Description of site.

Peter and Shelagh are delighted to welcome you to our unique, British owned, 3 star family campsite situated above the Lac d'Apremont, in the village of Maché. Set in the beautiful Vendéen countryside yet only 20 kilometres (12 miles) from fantastic beaches, the campsite comprises 64 spacious touring pitches of which 9 are fully serviced 'Super Pitches' of 160 sq. metres. Val de Vie is located just 300 metres from the village square and 300 metres from the shores of the lake. In addition to all the usual amenities our 'state of the art' toilet block also has a baby bath and toddlers loo. All our installations are maintained to the very highest standard. If you prefer not to tow we have 2 well equipped mobile homes for rent. WHY NOT OWN YOUR OWN HOLIDAY HOME IN THE VENDÉE ? A few remaining plots are available for the installation of new mobile homes. Come and unwind, visit the sites, swim in our sparkling pool. Your holiday enjoyment is our priority.

Directions to site:

From the north - Approaching Nantes join the périphérique (ring road) ouest (westwards/anticlockwise) in the direction of the airport. Travel past the airport exit, you will eventually come upon 2 sets of signs for Bordeaux / La Roche sur Yon (port 1). Take the 'RD' road to Bordeaux not the péage (toll road). Follow the signs for La Roche through Geneston to Rocheserviere, Then on to Lége and Palluau. After the church at Palluau, take the first right signposted Maché.

From the south or west - From La Roche sur Yon follow the large green and white signs for Noirmoutier/St Nazaire. At the end of the dual carriageway continue on the road in the direction of Challans for about 2 kilometres. As you cross the River Vie you will see a sign for the Chateau d’Apremont, take the next slip road off following signs for Maché, which takes you left over the main road by means of a new road bridge.

In Maché, from the church carry straight on, take the second left, Rue de Stade, the campsite is well signposted.
