Description of site. Sandy Beach is located to the north east of Holyhead in Anglesey, North Wales. Porth Tywyn Mawr (Sandy Beach) has been welcoming tourists for over 40 years and prides itself on providing a traditional family holiday experience, free of the amusement arcades, noisy disco bars and smoke clogged environments of the modern holiday parks! The site has recently been upgraded and now boasts state of the art CCTV and a card accessed gate entry system for added security. Due to its coastal location and direct access to the Irish Sea, via our private launch, the park offers excellent opportunities for the water-sports enthusiast. Nature lovers will be mesmerised by the plethora of wildlife, including puffins and other rare birds, together with grey seals, porpoise and the occasional sighting of a bottle-nosed dolphin. The site has its own shop for your basic needs but approximately 3 miles from the site you will find a SPAR 24 hour convenience store for all your needs. A short drive from the site and you will find a TESCO store, Kwik-Save, Iceland and many others. |
