Description of site - The Orchards Holiday Park is an award winning, family owned, holiday park with friendly staff, impressive facilities and exceptional views. It was awarded The "AA Campsite of the Year" for the SE region for 2015 as well as "Top 100 Sites Overall Winner" from Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome, voted for by their readers for 2015 and 2016 . Our 3rd award is "Loo of the year Platinum Award"( the highest).
The Orchards is situated in Newbridge, on the West of the Isle of Wight. It's in a small rural village and is on the edge of an AONB so there are amazing countryside views from all over the park.
We offer 160 touring pitches for tents, motorhomes and touring caravans - 22 are water serviced, 52 are hardstandings and 86 are grass. They are arranged in 3 paddocks, on terraced, flat or gently sloping land, they have magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
We also have 65 holiday caravans (statics) in a separate, spacious area, with trees and shrubs around and pathways in between. The 4 and 6 berth caravans are all fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, fridge, microwave, shower and toilet, DVD player and TV. We have recently added 6 Roxbury caravans to our fleet. They are the top of the range and very luxurious. I’m sure you will be pleased with their light, spacious interior. We have a new accessible caravan, The Gold Sovereign, which gives us 2 accessible caravans in all for those with walking difficulties or in a wheelchair. (see website caravan plans for more info). This year we are adding 5 new Pippin caravans to our fleet and we are giving a new look to our Russet, Braeburn and Blenheim caravans.
We think you will be impressed with our Facilities Centre. It is centrally located in the touring area and built to house all of your touring needs. It has a very spacious washing up/ironing/laundry area, with amazing views, a walkers' drying room, full accessible facilities, campers' prep area, baby changing and bathing room, ladies' vanity area, as well as shower and washbasin cubicles and toilets. All with the luxury of under floor heating, to make your holiday more comfortable. Our other facilities are a heated indoor pool, with poolside coffee shop (open all season), a heated outdoor pool and baby's paddling pool, (open late May to early September), a large well stocked shop, take-away, play areas, table-tennis, pool room and dog walking area. We also have WiFi at a small cost.
We have an hourly bus service from the entrance of the park to Newport and Yarmouth. The No 7 bus service runs past the site entrance on an hourly basis which takes you to Newport or Yarmouth where you can change buses to get to other parts of the Island. The Orchards is only 10 minutes drive from Yarmouth and the Wightlink ferry terminal. Yarmouth is a quaint little town with shops, art galleries and cafes to enjoy.
We are close to Chessell Pottery, where you can make your own pot and enjoy the best cream tea on the Island. Also nearby are, Carisbrooke Castle, a wonderful English Heritage site where King Charles I was imprisoned in the months prior to his trial. Also nearby are The Needles Park, Freshwater Bay and the beautiful sandy beaches of Compton and Colwell Bay. We are close to Newtown Creek; the only National Nature Reserve on the island and Osborne House, the summer residence of Queen Victoria, is only 20 minutes away. The Isle of Wight is a treasure trove of beautiful beaches, exciting festivals, historic buildings and numerous sports and past times, and should not be missed. We are the only Best of British Holiday Park on the Island. We have 17 gold David Bellamy awards for our conservation efforts and we have 5 pennants from The AA.
We also have Orchard House a spacious 4 bedroom house on the park. It sleeps 10 with one bedroom have a double and bunk beds. It has a shower room and separate toilet upstairs and a bathroom downstairs. The kitchen has high specification units and quality table ware and seating for 10 people in an open plan dining area. It has a private garden with patio and BBQ and use of the parks facilities, including the indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Directions to Site - From Yarmouth (Lymington) take the A3054 to Newport. After 3 miles turn right at the Horse and Groom Inn. Follow signs to Newbridge. The entrance to the Orchards is opposite the village post office.
