Description of site.

The Horns Dam - Adult Only Caravan Site is a quiet site offering beautiful views in a peaceful environment. Whether you like to fish, or not, you will enjoy your stay in Goosnargh's natural countryside. Horns Dam is also a vantage point for touring the Ribble Valley and Forest of Bowland, with only an hours drive to the Trafford Centre Manchester or the Lake District Cumbria. You could shop more locally at Preston, Blackpool, Fleetwood, nearby Longridge, or the Historic Market Town of Garstang, or visit any of the Sunday Car Boot Sales.

Dogs - Must be kept on leads at all times and although they are not allowed near the lakes, a dog walk is provided. For public liability and safety reasons we do not accept all types of dogs. To avoid disappointment, please check when booking.

Onsite Facilities - 5 van Caravan Club CL site with grass and hard standing pitches all with electric hook-ups. Toilet Block with Disabled Access, Chemical Disposal Point. Onsite fishing at the four acre Horns Dam or either of the smaller waters, all equally well stocked for Coarse and Carp fishing (bring own bait and tackle).

Offsite Facilities - Locally - Country Pubs/Restaurants with good food and locally sourced produce. Golf 0.5m, Indoor Heated Pool 3m, Beacon Fell Country Park for walks and picnic areas 4m. Wild Boar Park at Chipping 5m.

Directions to site:

From M6, M61 to M55 take junction 32 at Preston. Third exit from roundabout, following A6 towards Garstang and Lancaster. At traffic lights and crossroads turn right into Whittingham Lane B5269. Continue for about 3m, passing through Goosnargh and Whittingham. About half a mile after passing the Stags Head Pub bear left into Camforth Hall Lane where the main road takes a sharp bend right. About 2m to The Horns Dam. When into the car park take the right hand gate and drive up until you see the bungalow/reception where you book in and pay on arrival.
