Naburn Lock Caravan and Camping Park

Home Page

Description of site.

What makes this site special is its location as it is situated quite close to the river Ouse and picturesque Naburn Locks. You can easily get into York, not only by bus, but by boat. A river bus runs from just outside the caravan park into the centre of York, a fascinating trip and great fun for looking at the boats moored along the banks. You can still hire cycles at the site office, there is an excellent cycle route to York/Selby. The area is mostly flat and the lanes quiet enough to make cycling the pleasure that is used to be before the mass advent of the motor car. There is also an ABHS-approved riding school next to the site and a golf course nearby. The site's central position means it is well-placed to explore the many different areas of Yorkshire such as the Dales, the North Yorkshire Moors and the coastal resorts of Whitby, Bridlington and Scarborough. The site is a friendly family-owned site, run by Peter and Catherine Wilkinson, and our aim is to please all our customers. SEPARATE AREA specially for adults only.
