Description of site. Thornton Lodge CL Caravan Site (adult only) provides a picturesque site overlooking tranquil fresh water fishing lakes. The site is surrounded by beautiful undulating scenery and is ideally located for visiting York. It is situated between the North York Moors to the east and the Yorkshire Dales to the west and of course we are part of James Herriot country. The site is next to the National Cycle Route and many scenic walks. The farmhouse offers four stars English Tourist Board bed and breakfast accommodation. Fly fishing lakes. Clay pigeon shooting, UK Chasers equestrian cross country course and a new rally site is also available. There is so much to see and do in this area you'll never be bored! |

Directions to site: Take the A19 to Easingwold. Take the sign to the Market Place (Crayke). Follow the road through the Market Place it bends slightly to the right along Uppleby (grass either side of the road in front of the houses). Arrive at crossroads with a post box on your left, turn left here (signposted Coxwold and Oulston). Go up the hill into the country and take the next turn left signposted Thornton Hill. The road bends slightly to the right, look for 4th right - signposted Thornton Lodge Farm Caravan site. |
