This quiet CL is surrounded by farmland and overlooks horse paddocks to two sides with magnificent views of the recently converted Victorian Bestwood Pumping Station, now comprising private fitness facilities with public bar and restaurant just 600 yards away. Local facilities include riding stables, Bestwood Country Park, local walks, Sherwood Forest and the Major Oak. Historic sites include Newstead Abbey, former home to Lord Byron, Chatsworth House, and Rufford and Clumber Parks. The site is ideal for those wishing to visit students at the acclaimed Nottingham University, and the National Water Sports Centre is just 7 miles away.

Directions to site:

Travelling on Ml from the south: Exit at junction 26 and take the A610 towards Nottingham. Turn left onto B6004 towards Basford and then on to Arnold. Turn left to pick up A60 towards Mansfield. At large roundabout, take first exit on A60 towards Mansfield. 500 yards from roundabout, turn left signed "Lamin's Lane". Go 300 yards up lane and CL is on right through double gates.

Travelling on Ml from north: Exit at junction 27 and take A608 towards Annesley. At lights and roundabout turn right onto A611 towards Hucknall and Nottingham. At roundabout, turn left on B6011 towards Linby and Papplewick. Keep going through these two villages until you meet A60 and turn right towards Nottingham. After 2 miles, take right turn up "Lamin's Lane", just having passed "Lakeside Health Club". Go 300 yards up lane and turn right through double gates.

Travelling on A1: Exit at Barrowby and take A52 towards Nottingham. At roundabout take A46 towards Newark. At next roundabout turn left onto A6097. At second roundabout at Oxton, turn left onto B6386. At T-junction with A614 turn left. At large roundabout, take second exit on A60. 500 yards from roundabout take left turn up "Lamin's Lane". CL 300 yards up lane through double gates on right.
