Description of site - Sireuil is conveniently situated 25 km from Barbezieux, 10km from Angouleme, 100km from Royan and 25km from Cognac, bordering the River Charente in a rural and natural setting. Francois de Valois, the Count of Angouleme, described the Charente as a "Pleasant and gentle" area and the same is still true today. The Charente lies in the middle of the Poitou, Limousin, Perigord and Aquitaine regions offering both a rich and varied history and an unforgettable cuisine. Camping du Nizour has individual pitches with water and electricity points. The facilities are excellent with hot showers, individual wash basins, plenty of toilets and a shower and toilet for handicapped campers. There is also a utility area with washing machines and double sinks with hot water for washing up. On the nearby River Charente it is possible to hire boats and pedalos. The area is also excellent for walking and cycling. Other activities include a tennis court, swimming pool and children's play area. There is also a bar where snacks are available. In Sireuil, you will find a bar and restaurant, a post office and several small shops. Camping du Nizour is open from April to October inclusive.
